Executive summary
ESZ6 is 7,672.5 at 05:32:57 Pacific, below Thursday's 7,706.25 close and your composite VAL of 7,700. Thursday's cash range was 7,676.75-7,742.50; overnight has traded 7,671-7,714.25. Price has broken below Thursday's low and the earlier overnight low; the new overnight extreme is 7,671.
The profile evidence is mixed rather than uniformly bearish. ETH POC is 7,699, above Thursday's 7,690 POC, but current price is below both session value areas. Overnight value developed higher before the later decline; it is now overhead. That is different from NQ, whose overnight value shifted decisively lower. Sellers control the latest swing, but sustained new lower-value acceptance still needs confirmation.
The primary conditional short is rejection of Value reentry gate at 7,690-7,691.75. The secondary is a separate rejection at Composite lower boundary, 7,699-7,700, if a deeper rebound occurs and a tight failed-reclaim swing forms. These are alternative locations, not instructions to stack correlated positions. The earlier reclaim of Thursday low failed at the final check. A fresh defended reclaim of 7,673.50-7,676.75 is needed to support the countertrend branch.
The vendor's negative-gamma estimate suggests that accepted breaks or repair can accelerate. PMI at 06:45 Pacific and Michigan at 07:00 make the early cash-session response important. A rebound becomes more credible above 7,691.75 and stronger above 7,700; failure to regain 7,673.50-7,676.75 favors renewed pressure on 7,671 and possible lower discovery.
Gamma
The October 23 selected 0DTE sidebar reports net gamma -213.06M and net delta -39.02B, labeled Negative Gamma. Explicit references are P1 7,640, pTrans 7,725, HVL 7,740, cTrans 7,745 and C1 7,760. The selected sidebar is used because the expiry tile shows a different aggregate.
If the modeled short-gamma positioning is correct, hedging may reinforce an accepted decline and also a sharp recovery. Being below HVL does not prove dealer selling is occurring now, and P1 does not guarantee support. The model gives little reason to assume reliable pinning, but it does not prevent price from balancing.
CFD-derived pricing and proprietary SPX-to-ES conversion make the mapped strike levels provisional. Smart Range 7,621.30-7,731.18 is static screenshot context, not a remaining intraday movement budget. Reclaims of 7,691.75 and 7,700 take precedence over treating negative gamma as a standing short signal; observed price acceptance can override the expected gamma behavior.
Auction
Thursday lost the prior day's range and closed well below its own open. Overnight initially traded above 7,700, reached 7,714.25 and later failed another recovery at 7,712.25. Subsequent hourly highs declined through 7,702.50, 7,691.75 and 7,690, followed by breaks to 7,673.50 and then 7,671. The latest swing is bearish even though the overnight distribution is still centered higher.
The earlier reclaim of Thursday low 7,676.75 failed. At 05:31 Pacific price reached 7,671, and it remained below the old 7,673.50 overnight low at the 05:32:57 cutoff. This strengthens the bearish branch, but a failed retest from beneath is still required for acceptance confirmation. A defended recovery through 7,673.50-7,676.75, then 7,681.75, would interrupt the breakdown.
The 43.25-point developing overnight range and Thursday's 65.75-point cash range establish meaningful realized movement without proving a specific volatility percentile. Participant long/short inventory and forced liquidation are unknown. Persistent directional progress with failed counter-reclaims matters more than the mere presence of large trades.
Volume
Thursday chart RTH VAH/POC/VAL are 7,707.5/7,690/7,681.75 on 1,760,971 contracts. Developing ETH levels are 7,711.25/7,699/7,690 on 290,458 contracts. Both sets remain backend-computed levels with unverified chart grouping, and today's chart RTH has not started.
ETH POC 7,699 versus prior RTH POC 7,690 means the session-to-session center initially rose, while the latest price moved below value. This is stranded overhead value, not yet proof that the entire overnight profile has migrated down. A later lower POC/VAL and sustained trade below the lows would strengthen that interpretation; a reclaim of 7,699-7,700 would contradict immediate bearish control.
Five-point aggregation at the initial snapshot puts the largest overnight concentration at 7,700-7,704.75, followed by 7,695-7,699.75. Thursday's largest band was 7,690-7,694.75. Thursday trade was relatively thinner around 7,707.50-7,714.75 than around its central 7,685-7,704.75 distribution. These are descriptive volume comparisons, not calibrated HVN/LVN signals.
Your composite VAH/POC/VAL are 7,814/7,768/7,700. Composite lower-boundary reentry is therefore the immediate higher-timeframe test, while 7,768 is a distant repair reference. ES weekly profiles are disabled in this snapshot; no NQ weekly levels are transferred into ES.
Structure
Higher timeframe: price is below the supplied composite value area. Thursday's cash bar opened at 7,729, reached 7,742.50, fell to 7,676.75 and closed at 7,706.25. Wednesday's archived cash low was 7,751, so Thursday's entire cash range was below it. This supports a lower daily auction across the available sessions, without pretending to have a complete multiweek trend history.
Session-anchored four-hour blocks show highs of 7,714.25, 7,706 and 7,712.25 before the developing 03:00 block topped at 7,691.75. The overnight high sequence was initially mixed, then broke lower. Hourly and intraday weakness are clearer than a claim that every four-hour swing was descending.
The local repair sequence is 7,681.75, 7,690-7,691.75, 7,699-7,700, then 7,706.25-7,711.25 and overnight high 7,714.25. Thursday recovery high 7,724.50 precedes Thursday high 7,742.50. Below the new 7,671 low the bounded futures dataset offers no verified lower support; vendor P1 7,640 is a provisional watch area, not an independently verified futures target.
Level notes
Rejection exposes 7,684.25 and 7,681.75 before the lower extremes. Defended acceptance above 7,691.75 opens 7,695.25 and 7,699-7,700.
Rejection favors the lower value gate. A defended reclaim above 7,700 supports repair toward Thursday close and upper overnight value.
Holding above 7,684.25 supports the value reentry test; failed reclaim beneath 7,681.75 favors lower testing.
Defended recovery preserves the lower balance; sustained acceptance below 7,673.50 invalidates it. Lower gamma references remain provisional, not guaranteed support.
Acceptance through the full band strengthens repair, but the overnight high still needs to resolve.
Above 7,714.25 the short-term recovery has stronger structure; above 7,724.50 the next verified upper extreme is Thursday high 7,742.50.
Beyond 7,714.25, watch Thursday 7,724.50 and 7,742.50. Vendor 7,725/7,740/7,745/7,760 are provisional; composite POC 7,768 and VAH 7,814 remain farther repair references.
Below 7,671, do not turn the vendor Smart Range low 7,621.30 into an independently validated target.
Flags
- Analysis horizon is October 23 cash RTH, 06:30-13:00 Pacific. Chart RTH profile uses 06:00-13:00; chart ETH uses 15:00-06:00 and is still developing at this premarket cutoff. All value areas use 70%.
- Trade coverage is complete, but current chart grouping is not independently validated. Session levels are backend computed_unvalidated outputs, not certified matches to the chart platform. Automated grading remains disabled.
- Probabilities are independent subjective confidence estimates and are not calibrated statistical forecasts. Scores are qualitative judgments. Full daily/4H chart history, bid/ask delta, absorption, DOM liquidity and executed dealer inventory are unavailable.
- Acceptance means sustained trade beyond the boundary with a defended retest or a failed counter-reclaim; a touch, isolated candle close or transient news spike is insufficient. Preferred entries require live order-flow evidence and usable structural risk.
- Gamma is from user-supplied October 23 0DTE Tanuki screenshots. The vendor discloses CFD-derived prices and proprietary non-CBOE futures mapping. No synchronous basis correction has been verified; mapped gamma levels are provisional context and not standalone futures stops or targets.
- Calendar: flash US PMI 06:45 Pacific; final Michigan sentiment and inflation expectations 07:00 Pacific. Outcomes are unknown at this cutoff. Sources: https://us.econoday.com/byweek?day=23&lid=0&month=10&year=2026 and https://data.sca.isr.umich.edu/fetchdoc.php?docid=79628 . No causal explanation of price movement is inferred from scheduled news.
- All reward/risk illustrations are gross of commissions and slippage. A tighter stop is eligible only when the actual retest creates the structure; never compress a stop merely to manufacture a ratio. If the first opposition or confirmation price ruins the geometry, the setup does not qualify.
- Fresh user composite VAH/POC/VAL 7,814/7,768/7,700. Weekly ES profile is disabled. No NQ price levels or risk budget are used for ES. Final check versus 05:19:35 Pacific: spot fell 8 points to 7,672.50, the overnight low extended from 7,673.50 to 7,671, and ETH VAL fell from 7,691.25 to 7,690 while POC stayed 7,699. Scenario confidence shifted to bear 60, bull 30, rotation 35.
- Both ranked setups are conditional shorts at alternative locations. A countertrend lower-defense opportunity is described as a decision path and requires its own actual structure and reward assessment.
- Wednesday low 7,751 is sourced from the previously accepted October 22 ES outlook; current session levels are from today’s frozen snapshot.
